Artist, ornithologist, and broadcaster, the son of Antarctic explorer Robert Falcon Scott. An Olympic sportsman (dinghy sailing), he served in the navy in World War 2. He began to exhibit his paintings of bird scenes in 1933, and after the war led several ornithological expeditions (Iceland, 1951, 1953; Australasia and the Pacific, 1956-7).
